USAID Huguka Dukore Scope of Work

• Program Areas: Employment and Self-Employment Preparation; Work Readiness; Family Planning and Reproductive Health; Social Inclusion; Youth Service Delivery Systems
• Youth Enrollment & Geographic Scope: 40,000 Youth across at least 19 Districts
• 5-year USAID CoAg: December 2016 – December 2021
• Consortium: EDC, AKA, Connexus, CRS, SoukTel, TIG
• 30 Local Implementing Partners (IPs)
• Government Counterparts: MINEDUC, WDA, NEP, MINIYOUTH, MINAGRI and others

Project Purpose

Increased Stable Employment for Vulnerable Youth
Through : Improved employ-ability skills for vulnerable male and female youth ;
Increased viable self-employment among vulnerable male and female youth and Higher quality, more coordinated workforce development service delivery system.

 Work Ready Now! Training (8 modules, 100- 120 hours soft skills)
 Be Your Own Boss – entrepreneurship training (35 hours)
 Technical Skills Trainings (3-6 months) – based on labor market demand
 Work Based Learning and Internship
 Job Placement and/or Business Start-Up

ACHIEVEMENTS TILL 02 AUGUST 2018 AND FOCUSED PHOTOS

 Work Ready Now! Training (8 modules, 100- 120 hours soft skills): 995 Youths trained out of 1025 targeted
 Be Your Own Boss – entrepreneurship training (35 hours): 301 Youths trained
 Technical Skills Trainings (3-6 months) – based on labor market demand: 916 youths trained
 Work Based Learning and Internship : 170 youths
 Job Placement and/or Business Started(wage and self employment): 824 youths placed in jobs
 Start -up capital already distributed to youth: Rwf 6,302,000
