IMBARAGA Farmers Organisation is National Farmers Organisation established in 1992. We Support the transformation of agriculture from traditional practices to a more professional, profitable, and socially impactful sector.
We work alongside government institutions, international development partners and civil society to improve farm productivity, strengthen market access, and build resilient rural livelihoods.
What We Do
Contributing to farmers’ development and advancement. Advocating for agricultural policies that protect farmers' rights and improve access to markets.
Enhancing farmers’ productivity and competitiveness through production increase, access to agricultural inputs, market linkages, training, and support for improved crop and livestock farming.
Promoting citizen participation, accountability within farmers and agri-institutions and building trust between farmers and stakeholders and development partners.
We empower women and youth through capacity strengthening, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and improved access to opportunities that strengthen their participation in sustainable agriculture.
works on climate and environmental protection by supporting farmers to use sustainable agricultural practices, promotes climate-smart farming, soil and water conservation, tree planting, environmental awareness, and better management of natural resources.
We use monitoring, evaluation, and evidence-based learning to improve our programmes, strengthen accountability, and enhance our impact on farmers' livelihoods and agricultural development.
