A Contributor to Rwanda's
Agricultural Development

IMBARAGA Farmers Organisation is National farmers organisation. Founded in 1992, we exist to represent and advocate for the rights, interests and economic empowerment of smallholder farmers and agri-businesses across all of Rwanda’s 30 districts.

Our name Imbaraga means “strength” in Kinyarwanda, and it reflects our core belief: that when farmers are organised, informed, and empowered, they become an unstoppable force for national development. We work alongside government institutions, international development partners, donors, and civil society organisations to advocate agricultural policies, improve farm productivity, strengthen market access, and build resilient rural livelihoods for Rwanda’s next generation of farmers.
